SWEET Lantern at the OLLD!

Barcelona, 21-23 September

Highlights from Open Living Lab Days 2023 in Barcelona

OpenLivingLab Days is the flagship annual event organized by the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL). It is a highly-anticipated gathering that brings together living labbers, public officials, corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, academics, and innovators from around the world. The event offers a unique platform for networking, exchanging best practices, and collaborating on cutting-edge projects and for reflecting on the latest trends and how to shape the future.

The OLLD exemplifies the spirit of collaborative innovation, where each session and discussion is a step towards addressing some of the most pressing challenges of our times. Amongst the numerous insightful presentations, the SWEET Lantern project stood out during the session titled “Race to Zero Emissions and Pollution: Projects, Practices, and Recommendations.” This presentation not only highlighted the project’s groundbreaking approach to sustainability but also underscored the urgency of our collective race towards a greener future.

Additionally, two insightful papers were presented. Roger Bär‘s “Integrated Impact Assessment of Living Labs” offered a deep dive into assessing the effectiveness of Living Labs, while Fiona Zimermann‘s paper discussed the art of building consensus in multidisciplinary teams, especially in co-designing energy transition interventions through Living Labs.
